Kelly Borgers
Kelly Borgers is a Canadian artist whose paintings focus on the natural environment. She draws and photographs the Boreal Forest, which is vital because it helps clean water and keeps carbon in check. Even though Canada has a lot of Boreal Forest, it is under threat by forestry and mining.
Kelly's art illustrates the importance of caring for the Earth. She wants people to think about how they affect the planet. She cares deeply about the environment and sustainability and uses homemade charcoal and recycled paper to make her art.
Kelly is excited to be part of Denali Foundation’s artist in residency program at Sagarmatha Next. She wants to see how people are changing the mountains there, and she plans to use discarded items to create art.
Kelly is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the Canadian Society of Artists.
